#update on las vegas

So if you have not seen Mike’s posts about the hotel, covid, and this event it’s a good time to get updated. After many issues with Station Casinos, we’ve decided to not get bent sideways for a 100,000sqft lot at the price of a civic with other restrictions. So we did a “hail marry” pass to JP our local buddy to get us another location. After days of work on alt downtown art district location, we could not get the necessary permits with the city due to event changes and rapid changing of who will be in charge of covid restrictions in May for LV.

Mike was ready to cancel the event again and called the sponsors. But also called Las Vegas Motor Speedway to get a 2022 date to make a huge splash.

but ………. with EDC moved to October Craig said ” hey, we could get your out here for May 15 2021!”

AS OF TODAY – we are working on getting our insurance requirements completed and signing a contract for one of the areas at the track. We’re getting 1.5M Sqft for less than we had at the hotel and no spectator cap as of now. I’m sorry to any of you that have to make a change of plans or do not like the track for some reason. But for those of you that just want a cool car show, with a real friends, and a totally cool vibe this might just be the ticket.

AHEAD – we have a 2022 date and I might just make Matt bring DriftCon to LV with us for a massive no-covid blow-out for 2022. Questions – I’ll do my very best to answer below. If you have a private question email Mike@happenstanceevents.com

PS – If for some reason things are not going to work, all looks very good now. We will refund every dollar and give 2 weeks notice for those with airBNB & hotels. We dont fuck over our fans… period!
