#TOP100 Update
For those of you who put in an application that’s what I have been working on most of the day. I just got most of today’s work completed. I took a look over every car entered, each picture individually, and set up your judging app/sheet I have classed each car and but in a backup class. I adjusted the trophies to reflect heavy classes ( Best European). I tried to film some of this but it’s just very dry boring stuff of excel spreadsheets.
From here we will narrow the classes, assign a rank to each car in each class and turn over the judges to say “Yes” or “No” to each car viewed with your entire class. I’ll tally the votes for each car and that will be the rank.
So if you follow the class chart below you can see how we’re getting to 100. As a judge gives a “Yes” or “No” vote they can only give the allowed number in each class. Judges’ opinions are very different. Normally we get 30-35% of all the cars with all “YES” votes. That’s the easy part. It’s figuring out the rest is very hard. This pre-judge part takes each judge about 4hrs. Some take up to 6-12hrs to review each photo, your IG, and youtube video. I feel comfortable saying we spend 8-34 minutes per car before the show. This way we can focus on the top 10-20% in each class at the show.
Example car 043 – Judge1 says YES, Judge 2 says YES, Judge 3 says NO and Judge 4 says NO – Rank would be about 50% of the class
Example car 044 – Judge1 says YES, Judge 2 says YES, Judge 3 says YES and Judge 4 says YES – Rank would be at top of the class- Trophy winner possible
Example car 049 – Judge1 says YES, Judge 2 says NO, Judge 3 says NO and Judge 4 says NO – Rank would be very low, might not make #Top100
Example car 048 – Judge1 says NO, Judge 2 says NO, Judge 3 says NO and Judge 4 says NO – No rank – not in Top100
There are (3) things I’m not telling you withe ranking above, its how we do things and if I told you you could copy us directly. So thats not gonna get revealed. I can tell you that if all the judges give you a YES vote you go directly to the Top100 and Top of the judging book. Every judge will review at the event to decide your fate.
