Monthly Subscription has started
OMG, last night we got our first sign ups for the service. When I logged in this am I got the notifications and I had to run out of the office to brag to my wife and kids. I thought about this “box” thing for a few months when COVID19 started and what I wanted our experience to looks like. Here at StanceWars, the experience is more important than anything. So I don’t want to make a huge post but here was the state of mind when designing the box.
I went and watched hundreds of hours of Youtube and influencers opening and reviewing other subscription services to learn what not to do, and maybe get ideas on what to do in exchange. Reactions are not easy to fake. Cheap stuff and useless stuff is not wanted and is ignored. Next, I set about looking a cool stuff that I a 40 something guy might want and talking to some of team that are in the mid-twenties to see what daily stuff they might like. I built spreadsheets of ideas or themes for each month and stuff that could go in there. I decided that StanceWars cant be the only one in the box. How boring to just have us. I think StanceWars as the apparel sponsor was enough, then we should reach out to collab with others. Then we set some rules like every month the box art needs to reflect the shirt art, but we cant giveaway every secret so for now stay tuned.
Expectations – StanceWars is the main apparel supporter, along with Griots Garage and a host of collaborators & friends. More like Petrol Box and nothing like Tuner Crate. We all geek for gadgets, we use tools often and something for our pockets is important. Bespoke is normal for us. So tools, gadgets, and things you might put in your drop tray at night are things that makeup #OURLIFE
