Nissanfest 2016 Coverage

Words Mike Tolliver x Photos Micaiah Gray

I could start this story like I do many others that it was cold and early but that’s not how it happened. In fact I for once got to arrive last in the afternoon and enjoyed my time. If you haven’t noticed this year we are bit more organized and I hope you’ve seen some new faces in the StanceWars team. I’ve opened a new job at Happenstance Event Productions and filled it with Joe Cantu, an enthusiast, a friend and now our new merchandising manager for events. For Nissanfest I had a few other personal planed that didn’t allow me to arrive on the morning and for once the event didn’t fall on one of the other Happenstance Events either. Thank you Gaelen Norman.

So For me I arrived about 1pm, I slowly cruised the parking lot and found a empty spot and parked and aired out. I walked into evergreen raceway paid and strolled through the car show to see some hot Nissans. This gave me a chance to relax and see the show talk to some friends and relax. After looking through the show I strolled up the StanceWars booth on the paddock and looked over the other vendors and spectators watching the tire roasting drift sess.  I worked with Tyler and Joe for the rest the day and let Joe take off early for sounders game. We had a blast. I also had Micaiah take some great photos for you to enjoy.
