Notes: After the BAPE x adidas Originals NMD launched last year, BAPE and adidas fans wondered whether a collaborative Ultra Boost would be next. Rumors have been circulating online about the release for months, and those rumors heated up when leak accounts @py_rates and @yeezymafia posted mockups on Instagram (below).
Now, @retroshoparis has posted an image of what it claims to be a BAPE Ultra Boost sample, our closest look yet at a shoe that speculation suggests will drop next year.
The BAPE x adidas Ultra Boost will apparently come in two colorways and is rumored to be a Super Bowl exclusive, which — if true — could mean a highly limited release.
Without any official information from either BAPE or adidas, however, it’s hard to verify such rumors. The fact that only unofficial images have emerged so far suggests a potential release is still some way off.
In addition to the two rumored adidas Ultra Boost sneakers, the brands are rumored to be teaming up for an on-field Super Bowl collection. The collection is said to feature everything from tights and cleats to helmets.
